Our advocacy efforts aim to champion the rights and needs of succours by raising awareness, influencing policy, and driving systemic change. We strive to ensure that their voices are heard and their concerns are addressed, fostering a more inclusive and supportive environment for all.
The Advocacy Program supports SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by working to build inclusive systems that protect vulnerable families and communities, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met. Proverbs 31:8-9 ("Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves...") inspires this mission, calling on us to stand for justice and uphold the rights of the afflicted.
Aligned with SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), the program collaborates with organizations to strengthen advocacy efforts, amplify the needs of affected families, and foster unity in pursuing systemic change. Following the example of Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 ("Two are better than one..."), the program emphasizes the strength found in partnership, allowing for greater impact in serving those in need.
Through advocacy, GFS aims to prevent future conflicts and foster an environment where families can thrive, grounded in God’s purpose of compassion, justice, and peace. Guided by Micah 6:8 ("What does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy..."), the program seeks to create a world that reflects God’s heart for justice, supporting the welfare and dignity of every individual.
